In 1997, Marcus received his law degree from Stetson University College of Law. He has also earned a MBA degree from Stetson University, and his undergraduate degree in business from the University of Florida. He is now licensed to practice in both Georgia and Florida.
As part of his commitment to keeping up with the changes in the financial legal system, Marcus is a member of the Real Property and Bankruptcy sections of the Georgia Bar, American Bankruptcy Institute, and Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association.
Marcus’s legal prowess has achieved such critical acclaim that he was awarded the AV preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell. An AV rating is the highest rating award an attorney can received and relates to the attorney’s legal ability and ethical standards. Additionally, in 2007 Marcus was recognized by the Forsyth County News as one of the Men of Forsyth.
Marcus is a proud Georgia resident, and in addition to his legal work, he helps his local area through community programs. He has been involved in the Forsyth County Arts Alliance and the Tanyard Oaks Condominium Association.
In his free time Marcus enjoys traveling with his wife and children, boating on Lake Lanier, and watching college football and basketball.
